Incumbent prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likkud bloc appears to have won 57 seats ahead of Gadi Eisenkot’s Yarash bloc with 47, with more than 50% of votes counted. Neither party achieved a Knesset majority of 61 seats, but were not expected to do so. Israel reports the highest voter turnout since 1999 at 77.7%.
