Israeli ambassador to Lithuania Shelly Hugler Livne visited Šiauliai last week where she toured Jewish sites and met with the Šiauliai Jewish Community. The ambassador visited Righteous Gentiles Square, the site of the Jewish ghetto during the Holocaust, Chaim Frankl’s villa and the home of the Venclauskas family. She also discussed current events and plans for the future with members of the Šiauliai District Jewish Community.
