Not all Litvaks belong to the positive side of the ledger. Some start out shady and make good. Some fall into semi-disgrace, such as Boris Johnson. Others calmly observe their fellow Litvaks and rarely make judgments one way or the other.

Jeffrey Epstein claimed Litvak roots saying his grandparents came from Lithuania. That can mean a lot of things, from Russian to Belarussian to Ukrainian to Polish antecedents. The recently released tranche of Epstein files also show he had some connections with the modern Republic of Lithuania. One couple he supported received significant funds from him, and even more in his last will and testament. There is also documentation he recruited girls from Lithuania for his criminal activities.

The problem with the Epstein scandal is that there are so many aspects and players, one can see whatever one wants in the evidence. The human trafficking is just the tip of the iceberg. What lies below that is the real reason for the cover-up.

First Principles

Epstein began as a school teacher at a prestigious New York City preparatory school. He taught physics and math. He wasn’t officially qualified to teach either subject, but he was by all accounts an extremely intelligent person, and managed very well. He was originally hired at that school by a CIA agent whose son William Barr figures later in the story.

Some sort of scandal with his young female students caused his premature exit from the school, but not before he shmoozed the father of one girl who was in charge of the Bear Stearns financial group. He quickly reentered the work force as a Bear Stearns financial advisor. By all accounts he rose unbelievably quickly in the company and was soon in charge of very large amounts of money. This was in the mid-80s and there were the inevitable claims made later he was laundering drug money for the cocaine cartels. He had private investment operations as well including a Ponsy scheme were he turned on his partner for legal immunity but transferred most of the illicit gains first, pocketing the proceeds of the crime.

Arms Trafficking

Epstein had his own slush fund going at a time when the Reagan administration was seeking to circumvent a congressional ban on aid to Somoza and his remaining forces in Nicaragua and to the anti-Communist government in El Salvador. Early on in the Reagan administration the Maryknoll Catholic nuns and a priest were executed by the death squads in El Salvador. Eliot Abrams at the State Department and others cooked up a plan to oppose the pro-Soviet Sandinistas in Nicaragua by arming an opposition group which went under the name of the Contras. The trick was to arm the Contras without violating the congressional ban on doing such. The plan arrived at was multifold: US military forces would deploy for drills in neighboring countries such as Honduras and Costa Rica and leave their weaponry on the ground afterwards to be sent to the Contras, and the Contras would help ship cocaine to the US as payment for black market weapons. Panama under general Noriega was a shipment center for cocaine destined for the US.

At the same time the Reagan administration was shipping weapons to the Islamic Republic of Iran. Reagan administration support for the Islamic Revolution went far beyond the October Surprise which handed the election in 1980 to Reagan and Bush. Before, during and after the election the Republicans were deeply embedded with the Ayatollah Khomeni: the intentionally failed mission to rescue American hostages by helicopter under the command of colonel Oliver North during the final days of the Carter administration, subverted by Robert Gates who later headed the CIA and others; the initial weapons shipments from the US to the Ayatollah including a birthday cake at one point; subsequent weapons shipments and significant intelligence support in Iran’s war with Iraq.

The full extent of Reagan’s support to Iran would surprise his greatest fans, but the idea even then was to keep Iran out of the Soviet orbit. Later Reagan officials pitted Iran and Iraq against one another, supplying weapons and critical satellite intelligence to both sides. The idea was, if Sunni and Shiite fight, we win.

At the same time, the US wanted to get paid for their trouble. While initial arms shipments to Iran were probably free of charge, continuing armament demanded payment. In stepped what were once called the merchants of death, the arms merchants.

Right around this time Epstein appeared with Robert Pierce to lobby the US Congress personally. Pierce was connected to John Singlaub, both were part of the CIA’s World Anti-Communist Youth League. Adnan Kashoggi the uncle of the murdered journalist was a key player. What these people did, and especially Epstein, was to act as fixers and receivers for payments from Iran via Israel. Some of the payments were drugs rather than cash, hashish and opium. In the intelligence community these kinds of payments might be troublesome but can be accepted usually, depending on the amount involved.

At the same time the mujahadeen fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan were paying for arms with hashish and opium. Afghanistan borders Iran. Some of the mujahadeen’s drug shipments to the US even advertised the fact on their foil wrappers that the proceeds were being used to fight for the freedom of Afghanistan from the Soviets.

The explosion of the airliner over Lockerbie, Scotland, was a direct consequence of the failure of the US side to pay for drugs from Lebanon-based Iranian proxies. This was covered up with a US initiative to blame Libya. The bomb was sent from Lebanon by Hezbollah to Frankfurt and was produced by Iran.

Robin Leech’s hit television show Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous featured Kashoggi in one episode, and Donald Trump in another. Trump bought Kashoggi’s gigantic yacht later. Trump wasn’t a key player in the arms trade going on but was at the periphery and knew many of the players.

In the middle of this back and forth between Iran and the Contras, Epstein hooked up with Ghislaine Maxwell, but more importantly her father, Robert Maxwell, an Eastern European Jew who had served the British behind enemy lines in WWII, changed his name and pursued status and riches in the UK. Robert Maxwell served as a kind of slush fund for Israel via the Mossad for many decades and was eventually disgraced after looting his companies’ pension funds, and was murdered under suspicious circumstances near his yacht near the Azores in the late 1980s or early 1990s.

Around this time Epstein took over the financial concerns of Jewish American billionaire Les Wexner. Epstein got power of attorney. His power over the man extended beyond that. One of Wexner’s companies was the Victoria’s Secret line of lingerie extremely famous in the 80s and 90s.

The secret team involved in arms and drug shipments to and from Iran, Panama and Nicaragua experienced a partial setback when it was revealed that BCCI, the Bank of Credit and Commerce International allied with Citibank and others, was actually purely a money-laundering operation providing a massive black budget to the CIA and other Western intelligence agencies to carry out covert operations off the books. The octopus had to retract its tentacles a bit and look for alternative avenues. Astoundingly the BCCI scandal never really took off and amounted to less than the Hightower Report on Iran/Contra.

With Wexner under Epstein’s thumb, the latter began to call himself an agent of Victoria’s Secret in order to recruit models from around the world. It’s been said before: if Epstein was trafficking, to whom was he trafficking? The real deal is he was involved in much worse things with the girls he captured, medical experiments reminiscent of Mengele, obtaining stem cells through homicide, and so on, especially at his Zorro Ranch in New Mexico. He had two ranches in New Mexico and owned two Caribbean islands. There are stories of Epstein and Maxwell recruiting girls around the world, including in Africa with Bill Clinton in tow. A South African victim says she was drugged at one of the New Mexico ranches and has strange memories of being tortured. Others say they were impregnated by Epstein and when they gave birth the baby was seized, never to be seen again.

Ehud Barak

Former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak is documented both in the latest tranche and earlier as staying with Epstein for two weeks in NYC and seeking money and influence from him. Epstein was in touch to at least some extent with the Nobel Prize Committee in Stockholm and Barak sought the prize for himself. He also received large infusions of cash from Epstein twice. There is no indication Barak was involved with any of Epstein’s sex slaves.

Bill Barr

William Barr served in the Bush Sr. Department of Justice and was taken on by Trump in his first term after Barr published an essay sympathetic to Trump policy then. Jeffrey Epstein was arrested by Barr in the second half of the first Trump administration. Epstein apparently died in a maximum security federal prison while Barr was attorney general. Barr’s father was a CIA agent who originally hired Jeffrey Epstein to work at the prestigious preparatory school in New York City. Earlier WIlliam Barr III had served as the official liaison between the US Congress and the CIA.

Outcome

Epstein wasn’t prosecuted originally because local and federal prosecutors in Florida received notifications he worked for US intelligence. Epstein’s first sentence in 2008 for soliciting sex with a minor in Florida led to a sentence of 3 weeks or something in the county jail where he was free to leave during the day and had his own personal body guards the whole time. US, British and Israel intelligence continue to suppress the information in the case with the collusion of the current fixer US deputy attorney general Todd Blanche in order to protect sources, methods and personnel from the mid-1980s and 1990s. No one on the international scene cares about the sex-trafficking victims at all, including British PM Keir Starmer. In the US the victims are being represented by CIA attorney Gloria Allred who will continue the cover-up as long as she can. British and American intelligence services are hell-bent on suppressing the real story which is duplicitous arms trading with the supposed enemy, Iran and the Soviet Union. Note that while the Iranian authorities were calling America the Great Satan since 1979, they only recently began attacking Israel. For a decade and more they maintained good relations with the Jewish state.

Moral of the Story

Litvaks have been blessed by God with exceptional intelligence and a striving after knowledge. In certain cases such as Epstein’s this massive legacy, intellectual abundance and blessing has been perverted, because some have failed to heed God’s laws. We are not qualified to improve upon God’s creation. We don’t have the authority to engage in eugenics, in improving upon nature. We don’t know how to create a better human, it’s beyond our pay-grade. All we can do is to humbly observe the Law and try to live as good human beings, improving where we can, observing without comment where necessary. Sometimes a comment or two is warranted. I hope this text is seen as merely a comment on current events.

The personalities of the elite who find themselves mentioned in the latest Epstein files (we’ve known since 2011 the passengers on the so-called Lolita Express from flight logs) are trying to distance themselves from the convicted pedophile. What they should be doing is providing evidence to local and national authorities about the nature of their visits and communications. Lord Mandelson in the UK is only one of many who were inducted into a black mail scheme which was only a side operation of a very astute global financier.
