3:00 P.M. Group clean-up of Jewish cemetery and public lecture, Sudervės road, Vilnius. Transportation from Lithuanian Vilnius Community, Pylimo street no. 4, Vilnius, to be provided. Prior registration required.

Wednesday, September 21

4:00 P.M. Walking tour of Jewish Vilnius. Tour free and open to the public, but prior registration is required.

6:00 P.M. Screening of film “Gyvybės ir mirties duobė” [The Pit of Life and Death]. Lithuanian Jewish Community chairwoman Faina Kukliansky will tell the story of the Kukliansky family’s survival during the Holocaust. Admission free.

Entrance is free to the public


Thursday, September 22

6:00 P.M. Concert by Adam le Adam Israeli choir, led by David Sebba, at the Vilnius Old Town Hall, Didžioji street no. 31. Free and open to the public. Lithuanian Jewish chairwoman Faina Kukliansky and Israeli ambassador to Lithuania Amir Maimon to deliver welcome speeches. The concert program will include the following songs: Holiday Evening Alone, Loved Her, Prisoner No. 9, Thou Shalt Love Thy Neighbor, Yom Kippur Prayer, Bulgarian Folk Song, In the Vineyard of Yemen, Ponar.


Friday, September 23

10:30 A.M. Unveiling of monument to the children of the Vilnius ghetto at Vilnius Sholem Aleichem ORT Gymnasium’s Garden of Brothers, J. I. Kraševskio street no. 5, Vilnius.

2:00 P.M. Holocaust commemoration at the Ponar Memorial Complex, Agrastų street no. 15, Vilnius. Transportation from the Lithuanian Jewish Community to be provided, prior registration necessary, bus leaves at 12:45 P.M.

3:00 P.M. Holocaust education quiz “Who? What? Where?”

Students from six gymnasia and schools in Panevėžys to participate in a quiz about the history of the Holocaust in Lithuania.

Friday, September 23

12:00 noon Commemoration of Day of Victims of Genocide

(at the statue “Sad Jewish Mother” on Atminties square, Vasario 16-s street, Panevėžys).

Participating: Panevėžys Jewish Community chairman Gennady Kofman, city municipality representatives and public figures.

Visit to memorials at mass murder sites in Kurganava forest, Žalioji giria and Staniūnai forest.

3:00 P.M. Screening of films Du broliai [Two Brothers] and Tai todėl, kad mes žydai… [Because We Are Jews] at Ramygalos street no. 18, Panevėžys.
