Pianist Golda Vainberg-Tatz to Perform in Vilnius

St. Catherine’s Church at Vilniaus street no. 30 in Vilnius will host a concert by pianist Golda Vainberg-Tatz from the USA/Israel at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 7.

The soloist of this concert has a special bond with Lithuania. Her mother was saved by a priest from Rokiškis, Antanas Gobis. Currently Golda is a famous American and Israeli pianist and teacher. In this concert, we will hear a world premiere of a special piece, written by famous American composer Jan Radzynski just for her and the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra.

Golda Vainberg Tatz gained her musical education at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts; she continued her studies at Rubin Academy of Music in Israel, the University of Tel Aviv and the Juilliard School.

As a soloist Golda has given concerts all over Europe, Israel and the USA. She took part in various European radio and TV shows. As an active performer, she has participated in many prestigious international festivals all over the world. She has performed with many orchestras in Lithuania, conducted by famous artists such as Robertas Šervenikas, Zeev Dorman, Saulius Sondeckis, Modestas Pitrėnas, John Fisher and others.

The pianist has won various awards and is the winner of prestigious scholarships. Among her notable achievements: winning at international piano competitions at the University of Michigan, the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, Ohio, the international competition Frina Awerbuch in New York, the International Palm Beach competition in Florida and the Prix-du Disque award for recordings at the French piano institute in Paris.

Golda Vainberg-Tatz has recorded many CDs, including with the Vilnius State Quartet, (in Delos, USA), violinist Raimundas Katilius, the Moscow Chamber Orchestra and solo. Her recordings have received critical acclaim in magazines such as Fanfare and the American Record Guide.
